HX5 is a large business Seaport Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) contract holder: N0017819D7784. This contract provides support to the Department of the Navy (DON) as the mandatory vehicle for all Professional Support Services (PSS). Seaport-NxG refers to an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) multiple award contract (MAC) and also an electronic platform to solicit, award, and administer task orders. SeaPort-NxG is the Navy's contract for acquiring support services in 23 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Military Sealift Command (MSC), and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) compete their service requirements amongst contract holders. Seaport-NxG has a $20B ceiling, with a five-year base ordering period and five-year optional ordering period, ending in December 2029. Awarded task orders can have their PoP extended beyond the end of the ordering period for up to five years. The Seaport-NxG Program Management Office (PMO) does not charge a fee for using the contract.
